Qualifications

• Experience in continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, DMAIC, value stream mapping).
• Experience with SAP and MES systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional CI initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Drive structured problem solving using Lean tools (5 Whys, A3, DMAIC).
• Partner with production, maintenance, engineering, quality and safety teams to identify root causes.
• Ensure changes are documented in SOPs, setup sheets, control plans and SAP processes.
• Lead performance reporting, KPI visibility, SAP transaction discipline, production order management and data integrity related to scrap, downtime, OEE, inventory and operations.
• Coach and mentor employees in CI methods and foster accountability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for a direct hire opportunity in an automotive and parts manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who is passionate about Lean Manufacturing, structured problem solving, SAP-driven production discipline, and building a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• - Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, OEE, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, and waste elimination.
• - Drive structured problem-solving activities using Lean and CI tools such as 5 Whys, A3, DMAIC, value stream mapping, visual management, standard work, and 5S.
• - Partner with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and safety teams to identify root causes, implement sustainable countermeasures, and monitor long-term effectiveness.
• - Ensure process changes are properly documented in SOPs, setup sheets, control plans, SAP processes, MES systems, and reporting platforms.
• - Lead performance reporting, KPI visibility, SAP transaction discipline, production order management, and data integrity related to scrap, downtime, OEE, inventory, and operational performance.
• - Coach and mentor employees and leaders in continuous improvement methods, problem-solving behaviors, training plans, best practices, and a culture of accountability.

Compensation and Benefits

• - Salary range: $90,000 to $124,000 per year.
• - Three weeks of vacation annually.
• - Scheduled plant shutdown between Christmas and New Year's.
• - Health and dental benefits through Desjardins, effective the first of the month following the start date.
• - Pension plan available after three months, with employer matching up to 9%.
