Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a flexible Analyst/Engineer level candidate to develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards for mine operations in Saskatchewan. The role emphasizes data analysis, reporting, and process improvement in a safety‑driven environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of data experience, strong BI/software skills, and the ability to collaborate across production, maintenance, and engineering teams. On‑site shift-based work with comprehensive health and pension benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience working with data and analysis; mining context is a plus.
• Experience with PowerBI and other BI tools.
• Technical degree in engineering, data science, or computer science is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting to groups.
• Excellent data analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to work across different functional groups.
• Strong problem-solving skills and robust work ethic.
• Ability to develop and adapt new concepts and innovative approaches.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update PowerBI reports to support Mine department decision making.
• Support routine reporting across production, maintenance, and safety.
• Facilitate digitalization and automation of data collection, entry, and reporting.
• Review mine process data, identify data quality issues, and suggest improvements.
• Conduct ad hoc data analyses for mine department teams.
• Mentor mine operations engineering support interns.
• Communicate with underground workforce and Nutrien potash network on data topics.
• Collaborate with all mine department teams including production, maintenance, and engineering.
• Facilitate meetings with process stakeholders to drive identification of opportunities.
• Engage with underground frontline workers and supervisors to support improvements.

This position reports to the Mine CI & Reliability Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Creation, maintenance, and updating of PowerBI reports to support Mine department decision making
• Support routine reporting processes across a variety of areas including production, maintenance, and safety
• Facilitate the digitalization and automation of data collection, entry, and reporting
• Review mine process data, identify data quality issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Conduct ad hoc data analyses as requested by mine department teams
• Providing mentorship to mine operations engineering support interns
• Communicate with underground work force as well as peers across the Nutrien potash network on data and analysis topics
• Collaborate with all mine department teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Facilitate meetings with process stakeholders to identify
• Engage with underground frontline workers and supervisors in the mine to identify and support improvement opportunities

What You'll Bring:

• Three or more years of experience working with data and analysis. Experience working in this area in a mining context would be an asset.
• Experience with business intelligence tools, especially PowerBI
• A technical degree in engineering, data science, or computer science would be an asset
• Effective communication skills, including presenting to groups
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Proven ability to work across different functional groups
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proven work ethic
• Ability to develop and adapt new concepts and innovate approaches
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
