Job summary

An Ontario school board is seeking a Night School e-Learning Teacher to provide curriculum delivery in an online format. Responsibilities include planning, instructing, and assessing courses from late October 2025 to late March 2026. Candidates must be OCT certified with online teaching experience preferred. This role offers the chance to support diverse student needs in a faith-based educational environment.

Qualifications

Night School e-Learning Teacher

Effective Dates: week of October 27, 2025 to week of March 30, 2026 for all courses

The teacher will deliver curriculum to students of BHNCDSB in an eLearning format. Teachers will be responsible for planning, instructing, assessing and reporting for the eLearning course.

Available Position(s)

Subject to annual budget approval and/or annual system organization and/or sufficient program enrolment, the Board intends to offer the following e-Learning courses:

  • CGG3O - Senior Geography
  • OLC4O - Senior English
  • Credit Recovery - Any Intermediate/Senior qualification
Qualification(s)

Basic: Based on course – as noted above

Experience: OCT certified teacher

Other: Additional qualifications in area of study preferred. Previous experience in online teaching is an asset.

In order to be considered, you must hold the Basic Qualifications noted above at time of application.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • The teacher will be responsible for instructing, assessing, and reporting on credit recovery content. The teacher will also participate in all daily meetings to receive updates provided by the facility.
  • Online courses will be taught in Brightspace | D2L from online course materials provided by the Ministry and edited by BHNCDSB participating teachers.
  • Establish and Communicate clear course and assessment criteria.
  • Use technology to deliver engaging lessons incorporating learning goals/success criteria.
  • Provide timely descriptive feedback.
  • Provide curricular and technological support to students as needed.
