Job Title: Contaminated Sites Professional (CSAP)
Job Location: Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops, Surrey, Chilliwack, Vancouver.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Ecora is seeking a seasoned Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) to join our Geo-Hydro Team on a permanent, full-time basis to lead contaminated site investigations and remediation projects across BC.

We are looking for a candidate with strong regulatory knowledge, sound technical judgement, and a collaborative mindset. The position offers the opportunity to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects, contribute to the growth of our Geo-Hydro and Environmental teams, and provide mentorship to technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contaminated site assessments and environmental investigations for a range of commercial, industrial, and redevelopment projects.
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies, including design, execution, and monitoring.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, site risk assessments, and regulatory submissions in support of site closure and approvals.
  • Act as CSAP reviewer and subject matter expert on regulatory compliance under BC’s Contaminated Sites Regulation.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to guide projects through regulatory processes efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities, supporting and leading proposals, and building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Promote and uphold Ecora’s health, safety, and environmental standards on all project work.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in contaminated sites investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) designation in British Columbia.
  • Professional registration as P.Eng. or P.Geo. in British Columbia.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to varying types and sizes of projects.
  • Experience writing successful proposals, work plans, and cost estimates.
  • Experience managing project tasks, budgets, and schedules to provide deliverables to clients.
  • Proficiency in study design, field assessment, statistical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and technical writing, analysis, presentation, and interpersonal communication.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines, and have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • A safety-oriented attitude.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) and access to a vehicle.
