Job summary

Innovation Federal Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Advisor in Saskatchewan to manage a member portfolio and deliver tailored financial guidance across loans, deposits, and wealth services. You will build lasting relationships, promote advisory services, and identify opportunities to expand our product suite for members and prospects.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years job related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CUIC courses such as Credit Union System, Introduction to Financial Planning, Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending Course are assets.
• Proven business development, sales and service skills; strong communication with members and coworkers.
• Commitment to growing Innovation Federal Credit Union through sales and service principles.
• Detail-oriented and risk aware; safeguarding assets and reputation.
• Proficient in digital literacy, including critical thinking, problem solving and navigation using digital solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Teams, Viva, Power Automate, Power BI) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to members and prospects on all aspects of consumer banking and ensure members and the organization are well represented.
• Develop and maintain a deposit and loan portfolio and build long-term relationships with members.
• Provide individualized financial consulting services including insurance and wealth services information.
• Ensure all deposit and loan activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Recognize and act upon business development opportunities beneficial to the organization and its members.
• Must be able to travel regionally as required; follow Innovation’s Travel Practice Guidelines.
• Actively support the Credit Union’s mission and values in daily activities.

• Completion of the following CUIC courses would be considered an asset: Credit Union System, Introduction to Financial Planning, Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending Course.
• Proven business development, sales, and service skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to members and coworkers.
• Commitment to grow Innovation Federal Credit Union business attained through demonstrated use of sales and service principles.
• Detail-oriented and risk aware, contributing to the safeguarding of our company’s assets and reputation.
• Proficient in digital literacy, including (but not limited to) critical thinking, problem solving and navigation using digital solutions.
• Use and comfortability with a variety of Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Teams, Viva, Power Automate, Power BI).
