A leading Canadian firm is seeking a Director for Climate Change to build and manage a consulting practice focused on climate change initiatives. This role will require strategic development, client interaction at senior levels, and the ability to implement climate-related strategies, positioning the firm as a leader in sustainability consulting within the Mining, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors.

Scope of Position
This is an exciting new leadership role to build a business practice around Climate Change. Climate Change and resiliency considerations are taking a much more prominent role in large multi-stakeholder projects as well as smaller projects, across various markets in Canada and abroad. Reporting to the Managing Director of the Environmental Services Group (ESG), this person will take ownership of the company’s Climate Change initiatives, create a business strategy, and implement a Climate Change consulting business. The role is located in the Greater Toronto Area however, the Climate Change practice will be actively focusing on targets in the key growth markets across Canada and globally.This role is also accountable for leading the implementation of relevant strategies to build a Climate Change consulting business, and to include climate change resiliency in the company’s other projects. Such strategies will position our client to become a leading service provider in Climate Change and resiliency consulting in Mining & Metals, Infrastructure and Energy.
This role is primarily external facing, developing a leading-edge Climate Change practice and service offering for external clients.
The Environmental Services Group provides scientific expertise and environmental, risk, social consulting, sustainability and management consultancy services throughout Canada and abroad.
