EY’s Strategy & Value Creation practice (EY-Parthenon) in Montreal is seeking a Consultant to join the Canadian team. You’ll work with senior leaders on corporate strategy, growth, and value creation projects for global clients.

You’ll develop analyses, build client-ready stories in slides, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Fluency in French and English is required; you thrive in a fast-paced, merit-driven environment.

Competenze

• Undergrad degree in engineering, finance or commerce.
• At least 2 years of work/leadership experience in management consulting or corporate strategy.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with bilingual French/English proficiency.

We are looking for candidates to join as a Consultant in the Canadian Strategy & Value Creation team. Consultants will play an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing Americas Strategy & Value Creation team to deliver a variety of engagements.

Responsibilities

We are looking for candidates who can:

• Independently perform primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys
• Develop and execute workplans including analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
• Develop the ‘story’ – the output to narrate the solution to the client’s problem – including written output (slides)
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with client stakeholders
• Foster an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements
• Develop a community within the team – volunteering to support business development activities or other internal practice build initiatives such as Learning, Operations, Resourcing, Recruitment, etc.
• Proactively build a personal network within the firm
• Be comfortable in a team environment that actively encourages members voicing different views to reach the optimal solution for clients
• Be entrepreneurial in seeking ways to deliver increased client impact

Ideal qualifications for this position include:

• Engineering, Finance or Commerce undergrad (MA/MBA is an asset)
• At least 2 years of work/leadership experience with demonstrated impact with management consulting or corporate strategy experience preferred
• Exceptional problem-solving skills – analytical, quantitative and conceptual
• Finance and operational knowledge – strong understanding of profitability and cash-flow metrics, including the ability to explain how operational improvements affect financial statements
• Advanced modelling skills (Excel) and visualization skills (PowerPoint, Tableau and/or Power BI)
• Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under demanding environment, overtime and adhere to project deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated track record of communicating complex ideas and findings to senior executives
• A passion for delivering impact, demonstrated initiative taking, high energy and curiosity, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
• Comfort with ambiguity
• This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.
