Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is seeking a Senior Test Coordinator to lead the testing workload within the Capital Markets Technology group. You will create test plans, develop testing strategies, and coach team members while coordinating test execution to ensure client needs are met with high quality.

Details on on-site and remote work arrangements will be discussed at interview. The role requires strong testing and leadership skills to drive delivery within a fast-paced banking

Qualifications

• Experience in software development testing, automation, and software process improvement.
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries is a plus.
• Proficiency with Java, C#, Python, VBScript or similar languages is an asset.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology group. You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality. As a Senior Test Coordinator, you’ll be a team lead on CIBC’s Technology team, assigning and overseeing the execution of test cases and providing coaching to your team members. You’ll create test plans, develop strategies, and provide estimates that will help create the bank of the future. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How you'll succeed

• Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
• Leadership skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
