Job summary

Bronte Construction is seeking a Construction Surveyor to ensure accuracy and precision across projects. You will conduct surveys, measurements, and analysis to support planning and execution.

The role requires a detail-oriented attitude, strong communication, and a proactive work ethic to contribute to our project's success. Responsibilities include surveying, leading planning efforts, and ensuring milestones are met, with daily records and coordination with project management and supervision

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Surveying experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven leader, highly motivated to the overall success of assigned projects.

The Role

As a Construction Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our projects. You will be responsible for conducting surveys, measurements, and analysis of construction sites to provide data essential for the planning and execution of our projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic to contribute to our team's success.

A day in the life
  • Ensure the Project meets all technical and quality requirements of the contract documents;
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with the Bronte standards, design procedures, and contract specifications;
  • Responsible for maintaining daily records and accounting for changes, extras, additional work
  • Responsible for the efficient progress of the work and untimely job site accountability for each project, including budget controls, ensuring Bronte meets intended construction schedules/ target dates, job site efficiencies, coordination with Project Management and Supervision, tracking and identifying items of extra work/changes, review job cost to ensure compliance with estimate, final clean up and turnover.
  • Perform necessary layout of underground, civil structures, environmental and marine works.
  • Calibrate GPS/total station to control points
  • Conduct grade checks as needed.
  • Prepare CAD files and 3D models to facilitate construction layout.
  • Complete quantity take-offs as required.
  • Manage and update construction drawings and specifications, including as-builts;
  • Support Project management to administer schedules;
  • Participate in Project meetings with internal and external parties;
  • Support Project management in budgeting, cost control and billing activities
  • Assist with additional Project-related works, if required
  • Effectively written and oral communication with clients and project representatives
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Surveying experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills
  • Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven leader, highly motivated to the overall success of assigned projects
