Applications must be received no later than Monday, October 27th . Tentative start date of January 5, 2026 and end date of January 5, 2029.
As a Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for site monitoring of the construction activities, ensuring the Contractor conducts work safely and effectively in accordance with the project plan, on schedule an within budget. This includes managing all site activities, conducting site meetings and regular reporting to the Construction Manager. The Construction Supervisor will be required to work on site specifically between Memramcook and Salisbury, NB. Key Responsibilities : Directs, manages and coordinates all activities on siteWorks with the Contractor to coordinate work activities to ensure cost and schedule targets are metCoordinates with the Materials Planner to arrange for materials to be provided to the contractorMonitors, evaluates and reports progress against construction scheduleEnsures quality of the work and deficiency identification and correctionEnsures Contractor secures the siteParticipates in and supports construction risk assessment processIdentifies change requestsResponsible for enforcing Field Change Authorization processMonitor site to ensure compliance with project Safety Plan, Environmental Protection Plan and Quality Plan and provides status reports to the team for activities under their responsibilities
Qualifications : Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in a leadership role within construction projects is requiredMinimum of 5 years field experience in an industrial environment is requiredSubstation construction and / or maintenance would be considered an assetSelf motivated, ability to work independently or in a team environmentsMust have a valid driver’s licenseMust be fluent in English reading, writing, speakingRelevant experience as a Construction Site SupervisorProficiency in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products such as Work PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel Key Competencies : Well-developed interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing requirements to a wide range of client groups (internal and external).Skilled in coaching of co-workers and contractors, negotiation, mediation of disputes or differences of opinion and conflict resolutionSelf-motivated, ability to work independently or in a team environment and provide leadership, support, direction, and consultation to a wide range of peopleAbility to manage multiple initiatives with strong organization skills to meet project deadlinesWilling to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationshipsDetail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data setsAbility to learn to use new tools and adapt existing tools to the task at handAbility to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions.INT001
