Your Opportunity at SECURE

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and deliver industrial infrastructure building projects. This is a temporary position until June 2027 and is based out of Saskatoon SK.

The Team

This role is responsible for managing construction activities from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.

Work Environment

This is a full time temporary role from February 2026 until June 2027.

A Day in The Life
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve construction issues promptly
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders and senior management
  • Approve invoices, change orders, and material purchases
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, inspections, and punch lists
  • Assist in project estimating and proposal preparation, as required.
  • Ensure safety, health and environmental quality standards are being met.
  • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.
  • Help to identify areas of work outside of contracted scope.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience managing construction projects, contractors and vendors
  • Computer: Microsoft Office and Company System knowledge (Emburse, OpenInvoice, etc.
  • Ability to read, review and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret other documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as required
  • Planning and Organizing – prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, look for ways to meet productivity standards
  • Professionalism – lead by example, treat others with respect and consideration, accept responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitments
  • Quality – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, look for ways to improve and promote quality
