Job summary

ProZone Ltd. is seeking an on-site Construction Supervisor in Edmonton to oversee concrete projects and crews.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, a secondary school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read blueprints, coordinate activities, and enforce health and safety standards. You will supervise workers and apprentices, set up machines, procure materials, and direct concrete placement to spec.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–2 years of experience in construction supervision.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production and other reports
• Supervise workers and projects
• Co-ordinate and schedule activities
• Train or arrange for training
• Set up machines and equipment
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Recommend personnel actions
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
• Leading/instructing individuals
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Instruct apprentices
• Impart finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
