Job summary

A state government agency in Alberta, Canada, is seeking a candidate for a role managing advanced engineering and construction projects. The ideal applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of construction project management experience. Responsibilities include overseeing project compliance with regulations, quality assurance, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.
  • 5 years of construction project management; project management, process engineering and/or business process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and distributes project information, status reports, and project budget expenditures.
  • Conducts project reviews and coordinates inspections with various inspectors and other district/division project managers.
  • Creates documentation procedures to capture and deal with changes in original project plan.
  • Directs, develops, implements, and evaluates project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
  • Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for assigned projects.
  • Identifies potential project impediments, risks, and issues; and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
  • Oversees project assignments, determines work requirements to complete project plans and coordinates scheduling to accommodate project already underway.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
