Job description

Aplin has partnered with a Winnipeg-based company to hire a Construction Project Coordinator. The Construction Project Coordinator will oversee all phases of the build process, from excavation to pre-possession. This includes ensuring site safety, coordinating sub-trades and materials, verifying adherence to specifications and quality standards, and progressing according to the production schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the construction site is safe, clean, and organized, and that all sub-trades follow Safety & Health procedures as per the Manitoba Safety & Health Act
  • Provide direction to sub-trades to meet the production schedule
  • Coordinate materials delivery to the site
  • Complete daily inspections, including follow-ups on work, framing inspections, and site readiness for City Inspection
  • Verify all work complies with drawings and specifications at the required quality levels
  • Ensure sub-trades complete work on schedule and provide weekly updates to the Construction Manager

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a construction-related field preferred but not required
  • Experience with construction trades on site
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in computer skills
