Job summary

A leading construction firm in Victoria, Canada is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major projects valued over $100M or a portfolio of smaller projects. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of supervisory experience in ICI construction and a degree in engineering or construction. Responsibilities include ensuring project performance, overseeing design and construction, and upholding safety standards. You As a Construction Manager Will

• Accountable for overall project performance of one major project (>$100M in value) or a portfolio of smaller projects
• Oversee the design, construction, and warranty handover of projects to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule objectives
• Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
• Develop and maintain pre‑construction schedules, baseline construction schedules, procurement schedules, commissioning and PDI schedules
• Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
• Ensure project safety standards, company, client policies and environmental programs are adhered to

Is this the right role for you?

• 10-15 years supervisory or equivalent experience in ICI Construction.
• Engineering or Construction related degree/diploma, or an equivalent work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements and negotiations essential.
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
