Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario seeks a Seasonal Construction Maintenance Worker to perform laborer tasks on capital/building projects and repairs. You will assist with material handling, site setup, and the handling of materials such as concrete and rebar, while supporting tradespersons.

Must have a valid Ontario G-class driver's license, be able to work in all weather, and reliably perform physical labor on a seasonal schedule (Aug 31 to Oct 31) at Blue Mountain Resort.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing general labor in construction or related fields.
  • Must hold a valid Ontario G-class driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist department with material handling, cutting, painting, staining, and site cleanup.
  • Help set up and maintain construction site, fencing, signage, and gather tools and supplies.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and rebar.
  • Assist tradespersons (carpenters, ICF installers, cement finishers, roofers) in construction activities.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators with securing attachments and guiding equipment movement.
  • Use grading tools (rakes, shovels) as required.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Construction Maintenance Worker will be focused on laborer tasks for capital/building projects and building repairs.

  • Assist the department in material handling, cutting, painting, staining, site cleanup etc.
  • Helping to setup/maintain a construction site before/during work, fencing, signage, gathering tools and supplies for the jobs.
  • Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete, rebar, waterproofing and other such materials.
  • Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, ICF installers, cement finishers, and roofers etc., in construction activities.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.
  • Using rakes, shovel and other grading tools as required
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
  • Valid Ontario "G" class driver's license, with clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to take direction and follow through on all tasks
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in all weather.
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry
