Job summary

A leading construction services provider in Toronto is seeking a skilled individual for a full-time position focused on preparing cost estimates and collaborating with various stakeholders. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of project requirements and the ability to monitor contract expenditures effectively. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada. This position is based on-site with no remote work options.

Qualifications

• Permanent resident of Canada or temporary resident with a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• Project cash flow and financing requirements.
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

• Education : College / CEGEP
• Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years
• or equivalent experience
