  • Position: Industrial Mechanic and Millwright
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $36.00-$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Work Location: 19545 Telegraph Trail, Surrey, BC V4N 4H1

Job Duties:

  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to identify and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation

Job requirements:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required
