Job summary

Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP) is seeking qualified Concrete Labourers to support renewable energy projects in the Juniper (Fredericton) NB Area. Under the Foreman, you will perform heavy manual labour to place, finish, protect and repair concrete on poured surfaces.

Responsibilities include material handling, formwork, reinforcing rods, site cleanup, and maintaining a safe work environment in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisor.
• Well-versed in construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct.
• Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
• Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites.
• Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to control cracking.
• Perform a variety of strenuous manual tasks.
• Be aware of surroundings at all times.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Protect and promote the company’s interests and duties as required.
• Ensure safety of fellow employees.

Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP), a member of the Municipal Group of Companies is seeking qualified Concrete Labourers to support construction of renewable energy projects in the Juniper (Fredericton) NB Area. KMLP through membership in the Municipal Group, is firmly embedded in the construction industry of Eastern Canada and as an organization we have been operating in the region for well over 50 years. As part of New Brunswick’s transition to renewable energy, KMLP has been awarded a variety of projects in the region to support large scale wind farm development. Our work typically includes a variety of civil construction tasks including road building, water crossings, cast-in-place concrete, pre-cast concrete installation, and various other earthworks.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Concrete Labourer is responsible for performing heavy manual labour duties to assist with placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on surfaces of poured concrete.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite
• Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Cut joint/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
• Be aware of surroundings at all times
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Protect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilities
• Ensure safety of fellow employees
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

The Concrete Labourer has a physically strenuous and demanding job. The Concrete Labourer will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects, requiring the use of PPE, Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, and reflective vest to minimize risk on the worksite. The worksite environment for this position is outside in varying weather conditions.
