Wage Rate: $36.60 per hour. 40 hours per week.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Weekend, Day, Evening shift, if required.

Job Duties

  • Reading and Interpreting blueprints, drawings, sketches, and building plans to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
  • Preparing layout in conformance to building codes by using measuring tools.
  • Constructing, erecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing structures and components of structures made of wood, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials made of wood, substitute of wood, light steel, and other material.
  • Installing structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, moulding, and hardware.
  • Fastening the material together with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives and check to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicating effectively and reporting to management for the work progress at the work sites.
  • Instructing and directing other construction workers and carpenter helpers.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold/refrigerated environments.
  • Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch and kneel.
  • Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50lbs is an asset.
