Job summary

Duron Atlantic Limited in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking a skilled concrete finisher to prepare, level and finish concrete surfaces on-site. You will read blueprints and specifications, operate power vibrators, and apply curing compounds to ensure durable, high-quality results.

Ideal candidates have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience and a 1–2 year college diploma. This full-time, on-site role is physically demanding and requires working at the physical location.

Qualifications

• College-level training in concrete finishing or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with power vibrators and hand tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
