A leading health technology firm in Montreal is seeking a Computer Vision Scientist to develop and prototype machine learning algorithms for advanced computer vision applications. The role requires a Ph.D., strong Python skills, and a passion for research. Competitive annual salary range between $96,000 - $144,000, plus equity and benefits, with a hybrid working model—3 days in the office per week.
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Computer Vision Scientist to join our applied research group in Montreal, QC. In this role, you will prototype, develop, and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms for our industry-leading computer vision technologies that power the Hinge Health program. You will have the opportunity to both work independently on novel research and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including scientists, engineers, SREs, data specialists, clinical experts, and product managers.
You will play a critical role in advancing our best-in-class human pose estimation technology and exploring new computer vision applications inspired by internal product needs and the latest academic research. You will be expected to communicate scientific ideas and insights clearly across various channels and audiences and to rapidly transform research ideas into working prototypes that can be tested and iterated in real-world settings.
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000.
