Job summary

L3Harris Montréal, QC seeks a Component Integration Engineering Specialist to select components for naval platforms, coordinate with suppliers and software/hardware teams, and stay ahead in marine control technologies.

You'll prepare environmental qualification tests, review specifications, and support obsolescence management on navy programs, with eligibility for Controlled Goods and required security clearances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in naval or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with military or industrial environmental qualification standards or specifications (e.g. MIL-STD-901, MIL-STD-187A).
  • Experience with computer integration and testing.
  • Familiarity with computer design.
  • Familiarity with ship classification society standards (e.g. Lloyds Register, DNV) is an asset.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal and team work skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of English is required due to contractual requirements.

Compensation Range: Between $75,000 - $115,000 CDN annually

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
