Job description

Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Compliance Coordinator with a passion for supporting a service operations team and applying an education in engineering in a hands‑on and practical environment.

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Support service operations team with collection of data from job sites and subsequently preparing submissions to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for approval.
  • Work alongside OTIS P-Eng Submission Engineer in responding to AHJs questions and concerns regarding products code compliance.
  • Manage submission backlog review process to reduce the registration timeline and number of rush submissions.
  • Coordinate various reports for compliance data analytics and project management.
  • Assist supervisors with directing supervising and leading the performance of the field operations team as required.
  • Assist with ordering parts as applicable.
  • Develop an understanding of and assist in maintaining our safety program.
  • Support scheduling & route control for local field operations.
  • Perform site field visits alongside superintendents.
Education & Certifications

A University Degree in Engineering or related technical program is required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
  • Needs to be self‑motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
  • Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software.
  • Strong leadership skills, goal‑oriented and good decision‑making skills with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and a car are necessary.
