Marsh's Workforce & Rewards practice in Calgary is seeking a Compensation Consulting Associate to join our team. You will work with experienced consultants to help clients solve rewards challenges through data-driven analysis, insights, and practical recommendations.

This hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly and welcomes candidates with 3–5 years in consulting, HR, compensation, or analytics, plus energy industry familiarity.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in consulting, HR, compensation, finance or analytics.
  • Oil and gas experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and data analysis to inform client recommendations
  • Analyze compensation structures, reward programs, and survey data
  • Assist in developing client presentations, reports, and deliverables
  • Support work related to base pay, incentives, job architecture and compensation philosophy
  • Help translate data and analysis into practical, client-ready insights

Job description

Marsh's Workforce & Rewards practice is seeking a Compensation Consulting Associate to join our Calgary team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced consultants to help clients solve complex rewards challenges through data-driven analysis, thoughtful insights, and practical recommendations.

This role is well suited for someone with some experience in broad-based or non-executive compensation and some energy industry expertise.

This is a hybrid role that requires at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and data analysis to inform client recommendations
  • Analyze compensation structures, reward programs, and survey data
  • Assist in developing client presentations, reports, and deliverables
  • Support work related to base pay, incentives, job architecture and compensation philosophy
  • Help translate data and analysis into practical, client-ready insights
  • Collaborate with team members to manage project workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs
  • Contribute to internal tools, templates, and process improvements
  • Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and quality work
What you need to have:
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, human resources, compensation, finance, analytics, or a related field - Oil and gas experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Marsh's suite of compensation surveys preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and client-oriented mindset
