Job summary

Shared Health Thompson General Hospital in Thompson is seeking a Nursing Assistant / Health Care Aide for a 0.70 FTE role. You will support patient care, assist with routine tasks, and help maintain a clean, organized unit throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant program or Health Care Aide/Unit Clerk program required.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of PHIA, WHMIS and universal precautions provided during probation.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical tasks and acts as a communication link for the unit.
• Assists in patient care and comfort, maintains unit cleanliness and preparedness.
• Adheres to unit policies and procedures and supports teamwork.
