Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized LPN program and hold valid registration with an LPN association.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understand seniors’ needs, plus strong customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of geriatric/long-term care nursing and relevant Health Acts and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic assessments, personal care, med administration, and guidance to Health Care Aides.
  • Communicates with residents and families to ensure needs are met and satisfaction.
  • Shows empathy for seniors and understands aging and disability.
  • Encourages family involvement with residents.
  • Administers medications within the LPN scope per regulations.
  • Performs delegated nursing skills accurately and safely.
  • Completes routine health assessments and reports to the Assisted Living Manager.
  • Ensures care plan services are delivered per standards.
  • Maintains documentation and charting per policies.
  • Monitors residents' physical and mental condition; records incidents.
