Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda is seeking a Dietary Aide/Kitchen Assistant for Sunset Lodge. Join a faith-based team delivering person-centered dining services and support for residents in a ministry context.

Responsibilities include food preparation, safe transport of meals, service to residents, stock rotation, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. Minimum education is a high school diploma with Food Safe Level 1 and WHMIS required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent accepted
• Food Safe Level 1 and WHMIS required
• Up to 1 year of institutional kitchen experience ideal
• Excellent time-management and ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and nourishings following dietary needs and tally lists
• Transport hot and cold foods safely to dining areas
• Serve residents per profile information and maintain FIFO stock
• Assist Cook with general kitchen duties and cleaning duties
• Keep dining area and equipment clean and sanitized
