Job summary

County of Simcoe is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide for a long-term care facility. You will perform general housekeeping and laundry duties, ensuring cleanliness and resident comfort while following agency policies.

Requirements include Grade 11 or equivalent, a current vulnerable‑sector police check, and TB testing as required. Shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends at CAD 23.81–25.98 per hour under the union.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 11 or equivalent.
• Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within 6 months.
• TB testing results as required by Public Health requirements.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
• Deep cleaning and disinfecting of areas or rooms as requested.
• Deliver and distribute personal clothing to resident rooms.
• Assist infection control and safety practices in daily duties.
