Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Guest Attendant to provide personal care and support to residents, helping them live comfortably, safely and with dignity. You’ll work with empathy and professionalism in a warm, home-like setting.

You’ll assist with daily routines, mobility, meals, laundry and light housekeeping, while following care plans and health and safety protocols. Strong communication and ability to respond to concerns are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services.
Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred.
Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs.
Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well.

Responsibilities

Help residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines.
Provide support with laundry, light housekeeping, and meal service.
Administer medications and follow individual care plans.
Keep resident areas clean and safe, and follow all health and safety protocols.
Respond to resident and family concerns and report to the Health and Wellness Manager when needed.
