Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working in an animal research based organization.
• Positive personality and reliability are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends are required).
• Experience with animal care an asset.
• Comfort with computer-based applications including Webmail and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work environment across animal rooms and kennels.
• Care for companion animals: grooming, feeding, socialization.
• Assist with weighing, handling, and labeling of samples and equipment.
• Perform basic clerical duties (filing, photocopying, pagination).
• Data entry and maintaining accurate records.
