A community support organization in Calgary is seeking a full-time Community Support Worker to empower marginalized populations and assist clients in their daily living skills and community integration. Responsibilities include establishing professional boundaries, aiding in goal development, and ensuring compliance with agency policies. Ideal candidates will have post-secondary education in Human Services, strong communication skills, and a commitment to building inclusive communities. A vehicle and First Aid certification are required. The position totals 35 hours per week with specific working days outlined.

Working days will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30-15:30 and Tuesdays from 10:00 to 15:00, totaling 35 hours per week.
Experience working with individuals with FASD is an asset.
A vehicle is required for this position.

The Community Support Worker (CSW) is an essential role to the service Calgary Alternative Support Services Inc. (CASS) provides to clients. This role supports clients to build a strong sense of empowerment; the ability to make positive decisions and help establish themselves as a part of their community; and provide development and stability in our client’s daily activities.
This role is responsible for establishing professional boundaries with the client; providing guidance to the client regarding emotional support, daily living skills, and engaging with community resources based on the goals laid out in their Individual Support Plan (ISP).
