Job summary

A regional health authority in British Columbia is seeking a Community Physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy services in a community setting. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Physiotherapy, current licensure, and two years of experience, preferably in a community environment. Responsibilities include consulting with caregivers and educating clients on rehabilitation interventions. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years' post graduate experience in physiotherapy.
  • Community experience preferred.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Job description

Working without general supervision under the administrative direction of the Manager and as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team delivering care in the community setting, the Community Physiotherapist provides physiotherapy services to referred clients; consultation for caregivers; and educates clients, caregivers, staff and the community on rehabilitation interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). Knowledge of current Physical Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; and Two (2) years' post graduate experience in physiotherapy. Community experience preferred. Valid BC Driver's License.
