Job summary

Peer Support South East Ontario (PSSEO) in Belleville is seeking 2 part-time Community Support Workers to join the CMHA Hart Hub team. You will provide one-on-one support, facilitate group activities, advocate for clients, plan wellness, and maintain documentation.

We value lived experience with concurrent disorders and addiction recovery, along with interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. A post-secondary diploma is preferred and a vulnerable persons check is required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with concurrent disorder and addiction recovery.
• Up-to-date crisis prevention/Safe Management training, First Aid and wellness recovery planning.
• Clean criminal record check with vulnerable person screening.

Peer Support South East Ontario (PSSEO), located in Belleville , provides support and services within South East Ontario to people who are living with addiction and/or mental health issues and seeking Peer Support as a ways and means of managing and working toward being well.

PSSEO is seeking 2 Part Time Community Support Worker to join their team serving the CMHA Hart Hub in Belleville.

Responsibilities:

• One on One Support
• Group Facilitation
• Advocacy
• Wellness Planning

Skills/Qualifications:

• Preferred post-secondary diploma or degree
• Lived experience with concurrent disorder and addiction recovery
• Up to date training in crisis prevention/ Safe Management training, First Aid and wellness recovery, action planning
• Ability to attend work regularly with good attendance
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• A clean criminal record check with vulnerable person screening

Additional Information:

• Rotating shifts 12PM-4PM/ 4PM-8PM with 7 days a week availability
• Start date of October 1 or earlier
• Salary as per Collective Agreement: $20-$37
