Job summary

Empower Simcoe in Barrie is hiring contract full-time Community Participation Support Workers to help people engage in meaningful community activities and work or volunteer placements, using a personal outcome-based approach.

This six-month contract offers a starting rate of $29.74 per hour for up to 37.5 hours per week, with 11 statutory holidays observed. A government-backed Employee Assistance program is provided for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in developmental services or equivalent.
• One year of recent full-time work experience in a community setting.
• First Aid, CPR and NVIC certificates are required or current.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support participation in meaningful community activities.
• Support individuals in goal planning and pursuing personal outcomes.
• Provide personal support while maintaining confidentiality and safety.
