Job summary

CMHA Edmonton is seeking a Community Resource and Engagement Specialist to support 211 Alberta School Navigation Supports. You will handle community navigation through multiple channels, assess needs, provide referrals, and deliver Champion training for school partners.

The role splits time between navigation and engagement tasks, working within the Crisis and Navigation programs that serve Edmonton and Northern Alberta, with travel to schools as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of frontline client support, information and referral, or crisis service work.
• Experience preparing and delivering presentations or trainings.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse communities and lived experiences.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries via phone, text, chat, and email with person-centred support.
• Navigate 211 Alberta database to connect clients with services.
• Triage crisis and higher-risk contacts per training and protocols.
• Follow up to assess referral effectiveness and identify needs.
• Document interactions, protect confidentiality, and ensure quality standards.
• Deliver 211 Alberta Champion training in-person and virtually.
