A community support organization is seeking a Community Housing Support Worker in Penticton to assist individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. This role includes collaborating on service goals and providing daily living support. Candidates should have a relevant diploma, communication skills, and a clean driving record. We are seeking a casual individual to join our team! The Community Housing Support Worker (CHSW) supports individuals in our Community Living Services programs with neurodevelopmental disabilities and complex neurobehavioural issues. Complex neurobehavioural issues may include, but are not limited to, substance misuse, struggles maintaining housing, dual diagnosis, and challenging behaviour(s) that put the individual at increased risk of criminal justice involvement/being criminalized. The CHSW works in collaboration with the Quality Service Lead and/or the Manager of Community Living Services in assessing and establishing service delivery goals (occupational, recreational, social, housing and financial) with those served. Where appropriate, they incorporate the input of family members and other community stakeholders. Position requires working independently with the client in their home and in the community.
