A community health organization in Winnipeg is seeking a Community Host to provide a welcoming environment and support clients. Responsibilities include managing urgent situations, building relationships, and assisting visitors. Ideal candidates possess a Grade 12 education and have relevant experience in community settings. Position Summary
The Community Host is the first point of contact for clients and community members at Mount Carmel Clinic. They work to create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment for everyone and provide information, referral and assistance as needed. The Host participates in the implementation of safety protocols and works with other staff to manage urgent and emergent situations. The Host builds relationships and trust with individuals, families, staff and the community.

Assets
Current Certification in De-Escalating Potentially Violent Situations, Standard First Aid, Level ‘C’ CPR (with AED certification) and / or Conflict Resolution Education or training in community work
