A healthcare services provider is seeking a Community Health Nurse to support military health needs at CFB Moose Jaw. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
Calian is seeking to hire a Community Health Nurse to work with our dedicated team of civilian professionals working at CFB Moose Jaw. Community Health Nurses (CHNs) are responsible for seven major functions within a Canadian Forces clinic: disease and injury prevention, health protection, health surveillance, population health assessment, health promotion, emergency preparedness and response and infection control. CHNs work in the community and primary care setting and act as a member of the CF Primary Health care team. Their work includes individual or group appointments, public health campaigns, and individual or group health education sessions within or outside the CF health services facility. This is ideal for individuals who have always wanted to work in a military health clinic, and support the health of military men and women. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4pm.
This is for a one day a week role.
