A community wellness organization in Saint John is seeking a Community Health and Fitness Instructor. The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick is working hard to address the critical issues facing the region; the health crisis, population decline, youth outmigration and child poverty. This unique hybrid role focuses primarily on community health programming, with secondary responsibilities in fitness coaching. As a Community Health and Fitness Instructor at the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick, you will lead the Healthy Living Initiative and Healthy Mobility Program, supporting participants of all abilities, including those with multiple comorbidities, to improve their health and well‑being. You will also provide guidance on the fitness floor, helping members safely achieve their fitness goals. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a passion for promoting physical, social, and emotional wellness.
