A community health organization in Toronto is seeking a part-time Community Health Ambassador to enhance outreach and support for marginalized residents. This role includes engaging with the community, collaborating with teams, and providing vital information on health services. Ideal candidates will have some community involvement experience and strong communication skills. A commitment to anti-oppression and cultural competence is essential. Salary range is $37,156-$39,508 per annum, pro-rated based on hours worked.
Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Centre and Community Health Centre
Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Centre and Community Health Centre (DPNCHC) is a multi-service organization that provides various health and community programs and services for a diverse community. We are seeking a Community Health Ambassador to help increase awareness of and access to DPNCHC’s health services and community support services by conducting outreach and education activities to marginalized residents of the catchment area and to target population groups. The Ambassador will also work collaboratively with the Children and Youth team to help plan and deliver community and wellness initiatives focusing on youth health and education.
The Ambassador will also provide information on services offered by partner agencies.
Salary Range: $37,156-$39,508 per annum, pro‑rated to hours of work, plus statutory benefits and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). This position is part of the bargaining unit.
