The Village of Granisle is situated on the beautiful shores of Babine Lake with a population of 337. We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Grant Writer to join our team and drive our mission forward through compelling funding proposals. In this vital role, you will craft persuasive grant applications, manage grant‑related documentation, and develop strategic funding opportunities that align with our organization and community plans. Your expertise in proposal writing, research, and contract management will be instrumental in securing essential resources to support our programs and initiatives. This Contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your skills in fundraising, technical writing, program development, and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Research potential funding sources and analyze grant opportunities that match organizational priorities
  • Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals tailored to funder guidelines and expectations
  • Manage all aspects of grant application processes, including preparing budgets, financial reports, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of grants received, deadlines, and reporting requirements within databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar platforms
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop project descriptions, goals, and measurable outcomes for proposals
  • Proofread and edit proposal drafts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with funder standards
  • Oversee contract management activities related to grants, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions while supporting program development and strategic planning efforts
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in grant proposal writing, technical writing, or related fundraising roles
  • Strong research skills to identify new funding opportunities and analyze funder guidelines
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive narratives and detailed reports
  • Familiarity with database systems for tracking grants and donor information
