A community support organization in Yellowknife is seeking a part-time Cargo Van Driver to ensure timely pickup and delivery of food donations to the Resource Centre. The ideal candidate must hold a Class 5 Driver’s License, have a clean driver’s abstract, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This role requires effective communication skills and attention to detail. The position involves approximately 10 hours of work per week, primarily on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Cargo Van Driver plays an important role by ensuring that food donations are picked up and delivered to the NWT Resource Centre in a safe and timely manner to assist with the smooth operation of the CFS department’s community food bank and the Resource Centre’s kitchen operation. The Cargo Van Driver should be a good representative of The Salvation Army through courteous and respectful interactions with the public, including well-mannered driving habits.

The target hiring range for this position is $25.36 to $25.98 with a maximum of $26.59. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
