Job summary

Primary Care Alberta is seeking an Exercise Specialist to join the Alberta Healthy Living Program at the Olds Campus Community Health Centre. Hybrid work is supported when in-person assessment is not required.

The role involves delivering exercise assessment, training, rehabilitation, and self-management education to patients in a patient- and family-centered model. You will work with an interdisciplinary team and coordinate program planning, promotion, and evaluation across community settings

Qualifications

• Completion of bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or equivalent exercise science degree.
• Active membership with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, and Clinical Exercise Physiologist and/or American College of Sport Medicine, Exercise Specialist.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exercise assessment, training, rehabilitation, risk factor identification, and self-management services.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to support client care and program evaluation.
