Job summary

The Mustard Seed Society in Calgary is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to advance local church and partner relations and to oversee Seed Serve programming. Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, you will design outreach frameworks, coordinate presentations, and facilitate education on poverty and homelessness within faith-based and community groups.

This full-time role requires strong public speaking, networking, and organizational skills, with a focus on building lasting

Qualifications

• Related degree in ministry, education or social work
• Significant experience working with communities affected by poverty and homelessness
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive church engagement framework in collaboration with the Manager
• Build and sustain strategic partnerships with churches, businesses and community stakeholders
• Coordinate and deliver presentations and speaking engagements to faith-based and community groups
• Cultivate partnerships within neighbourhoods where sites operate for localized support
• Lead Seed Serve Youth Program planning, organization and facilitation
• Facilitate workshops on poverty and homelessness for schools, staff, volunteers and the public
• Support development of initiatives to increase understanding of homelessness and poverty issues
• Handle administrative duties and track partnership data
• Perform other duties as assigned
