Job description

Overview

Become a volunteer driver with East Wellington Community Services and be the "DRIVE" within your community! As you transport clients to important appointments or deliver essential goods, we will support you along the way with training, a flexible schedule, and compensation for mileage.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to appointments or deliver essential goods as needed.
• Assist community members by providing safe and reliable transportation as requested by EWCS.

Qualifications

• Volunteers should be comfortable working with others, have a pleasant demeanor, be dependable and patient, and be willing to assist members in the community.
• Volunteers may drive the agency van or their own vehicle.
• Hold a valid Ontario driver’s licence and have a clean driving record with no more than 3 demerit points.
• If using their own vehicle, have $2,000,000 insurance coverage and provide a copy of this to EWCS.
• Complete the volunteer screening process, including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
