Job summary

Dilico is seeking a Community Critical Response Program Assistant in Thunder Bay, ON to support provisioning, facilitation and response to community crises. Under Health & Wellness leadership, you will help develop and implement emergency plans, procedures and protocols.

The role requires a health administration background with 3+ years leadership experience in healthcare, knowledge of primary care models, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Health or Nursing with 3+ years leadership in healthcare.
  • University degree in Health, Nursing, Health Care Management preferred.
  • Familiarity with Thunder Bay health services and medical software is a plus.
  • Three+ years designing, implementing and managing health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support provisioning, facilitation and response to critical incidents and community crises.
  • Assist development and implementation of plans, procedures and protocols for emergencies.
  • Coordinate travel and flexible hours as required by the Program Manager or Director.

Position Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Health & Wellness Manager(s), the Program Assistant supports the provisioning, facilitation and support of critical incidents and responses. This includes but is not limited to assisting the development and implementation of plans, procedures and protocols regarding emergencies and critical responses to community crises.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A diploma in Business Administration, Health or Nursing coupled with three (3) or more years' leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Completion of a university degree in Health, Nursing, Health Care Management, or related management field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional health services in the Thunder Bay area and medical software systems considered an asset.
  • Three (3) years or more of demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage health programs and services.
  • Knowledge of primary health care systems and primary care models is a must.
  • Candidates without the specific education qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child welfare experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Search.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as determined by the Program Manager or Director of Health and Wellness in relation to service requirements.
  • Must possess a Class \"G\" Driver's License and have access to a personal vehicle.
