JFC-UIA in Ontario seeks Community Connectors to build relationships and connect small Jewish communities with local, provincial, and national initiatives. This independent contractor role (~10 hours/week) is primarily remote with in-person engagement, requiring some travel and evening/weekend work.
The role focuses on strengthening Jewish identity, culture, and participation by collaborating with federations, PJ Library, CIJA, and partner agencies.
JFC-UIA strengthens the engagement of our Canadian federations and communities with Israel and the Jewish people, particularly through opportunities for connection and increased collective philanthropic impact.
JFC-UIA is also the only organization that convenes and leads the national federation system to achieve progress on a broad range of national, and Israel and overseas priorities, through consensus building and collective action.

JFC-UIA is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to serve as Community Connectors within Ontario's small and emerging Jewish communities.
Community Connectors strengthen Jewish identity, culture, and community engagement by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and connecting communities with meaningful Jewish and Israel related initiatives and programs, . Working collaboratively with local leaders, volunteers, community, national and international organizations, and and Jewish federations, they help foster vibrant, welcoming, and sustainable Jewish communities.
This is an independent contractor position requiring an average commitment of approximately 10 flexible hours per week, based within the Ambassador's local community.
Connectors report to the JFC-UIA Project Lead while working collaboratively with local community leadership to establish priorities, deliver programming, and may also support neighbouring communities.

Community Connectors serve as local relationship builders and community catalysts by identifying opportunities, fostering partnerships, introducing local, provincial, and national initiatives, and strengthening Jewish life in their communities, collaborating with Jewish federations and organizations such as PJ Library, CIJA, and other partner agencies to expand local programming and family engagement.
The role also supports Israel's cultural, educational, and community initiatives.
