Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Edmonton is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Home Living team, delivering evidence‑informed services in clients’ homes and communities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide client‑centered interventions.

The role requires home visits across varied settings, collaboration with families, documentation in professional systems, and supervising students or Therapy Aides as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
• Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP).
• Ability to perform duties under related legislation and regulatory bodies.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional clinical care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Experience working with clients in home settings and with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-informed OT services to clients in homes and communities.
• Develop and modify Care Plans in collaboration with clients and families.
• Engage in triage, assessment, treatment, and re‑assessment activities.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams and supervise students/therapy aides as needed.
• Document care activities and coordinate with internal resources.
