BUILD YOUR CAREER AS A COMMUNICATIONS STUDENT (SUMMER 2026)

Are you an ambitious and creative post-secondary student looking to make your mark in the world of marketing? Build the foundations of your career (and your brand) with the J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) Construction & Equipment Division for the Summer 2025. If you have a passion for content creation and spreading positive brand messaging, this role is for you!

The position will begin in May 2026 and continue until August 2026.

You'll be based out of our Saint John Head Office at 300 Union Street, Saint John, New Brunswick.

Did you know? Since January 2024, J.D. Irving, Limited has committed to reimbursing the co-op fee for students completing their work term with the company up to $1,000.

NOTE: Applications for both co-op and non-co-op students will be accepted!

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Get creative: You’ll be developing, coordinating, scheduling, producing, and delivering various internal and external communication materials. This includes writing assignments that will leave lasting impressions on your audience.
  • Get social: You’ll dive in to create and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Get connected: Collaborate with the best of the best! You’ll have exposure to the JDI Corporate Communications team to ensure brand standards are met and assist in coordinating divisional photoshoots.
  • Get analytical: With a basic understanding of analytics, you’ll report on communication metrics and participate in audits as required while driving results.
  • Get involved: Support and contribute to the communications calendar while assisting with the proactive planning of editorial content.
  • Get heard: You’re highly encouraged to bring your own unique thoughts, ideas and suggestions into the role. Your contributions are important.
